Project Cars PS4 career mode gameplay. Renault Clio Cup race 2 at Oulton Park (Fosters).
After a hectic battle in race 1 at Oulton Park I line up at the back of the grid for the start of race 2 (?) so already I have my work cut out.
Quite early on the rain arrives and I am unable to pit when I would like to and have to slither around for more than a lap on slicks until my permission to come in is received and I get some wet tyres on but rejoin way down in 17th place.
After the disappointment of losing out on second spot in the earlier race, I really need a podium spot and the points that go with it.
When I first started practice for the Oulton Park round the car was hopeless and I could not get around a lot of the corners without running wide or spinning off. It really was handling like a pig and this is an important point to note because in Project Cars, set up is vital and what may have worked on a particular car on one track may be worthless at another. As far as I'm concerned this all adds to the depth and challenge of the title but bear it in mind when you read some of the criticism of the game - it just isn't for everyone and requires you to invest time and patience if you want to get the best out of it.
